Colorful Burano
I’ve been to Burano, Italy last year. Such gorgeous little Island! And very colorful. Medium: watercolor & a little PS Current mood: Oh how I miss using a traditional tool to paint something ❤

I went to Greece in August and it was so much fun. The food was great and the people were so nice and we had such a great time. One of my friends hate tomatoes but it was funny how she could eat Greek Salad. She said cause she was in Athens so she ate tomatoes but would never touch them back home. My friend is weird like that lol. So this picture is for her. Watercolor and photoshop 🙂
I could kick myself for not remembering the name of this snack! It’s yummy and beautiful. Guh? What does it call??
So there was this cat positioning itself just above the manhole near Osaka Castle in Osaka. People were taking her(?) picture. I wanted to do something different so I painted her (haha)
The three monkeys in Yasaka Koushindou temple in Kyoto tell us to look (judge), hear and speak carefully! If only human can learn from these monkeys, the world would be a better place.
Still at Harajuku. Still under the same Gingko tree in front of JR Harajuku station. But instead of looking up, I look down. The sight is as beautiful. And as yellow.
I went to Japan last November and the Gingko leaves were just starting to change color from green to yellow. It was so pretty, especially around JR Harajuku station where there are lines of Gingko trees near by. I LOVE autumn!
Watercolor is complex. So I am always happy when I can paint a simple picture with watercolor, when I do not have to worry about what color to mix with what and what and etc. Happy weekend from far east Bangkok!
From today until the end of the year (only 3 months away—how time flies!), I will be drawing and painting a lot of pictures about Japan. My plan is to create a kind of picture book, with watercolor paintings on Japan. I have a direction in my head but I do not think my mood and my right hand that are mostly responsible for the quality of my drawings will listen to it much. *sighs* This is one of the pictures I will use in the picture book. Kiyomisudera in spring. The waterfall will grant you wishes so make a wish (or two) before drinking. And look who have the new (c) trademark! In red color even!
I really really want to paint portrait. But I suck at painting portrait. I can only draw and sketch people but I don’t know how to paint people with watercolor. They said you can learn and master something by practicing very hard but I guess I probably need to enroll for a course or two! I have not given up yet 🙂 Just went back to my comfort zone and rolled around there a bit. Here is the result.
I’m going to Japan again this November for work. After about a week in Hiroshima where the workshop will be happening, I will go to visit some friends in Tokyo. I might not be able to go to Kyoto, my favorite place though I bet it will look magical in autumn. But we will meet again someday!
